Making Salt and Coral

Most of the film is shot from the boat, which meant every lens choice was also a choice about seasickness. We settled on two primes and a lot of patience.

The grandmother's interview was the last thing we filmed. By then she had stopped noticing the camera, and that is the version in the film.
